Shelba Notebook author, Richard Carter says Tea Party members accuse rich of not paying their fair share. 

You are somewhat confused Mr. Carter.  That would be the “Occupiers” (government supported, I might add).  The drunken, drugged out, sex perverts that are social misfits running around the country creating havoc because they believe the capitalists of America are not paying their taxes (wonder when was the last time they paid taxes much less had a job).  While the government, not the rich, is forcing American jobs overseas, our government gives away billions of our hard earned tax money to green corporations that are doomed to failure, gives billions to banks to prop them up and award themselves millions in bonuses, while we the people are given nothing. There are no shortages of taxes Mr. Carter; there is an in-your-face government that is trying to bankrupt America to fulfill their personal agendas.  How can we accuse the rich of not paying their share when it is our government that has forced them and their jobs out of America?

The Tea party on the other hand, is fighting to get jobs brought back to America, wants the government to answer for every dollar spent, eliminate the power of the treasury department to print money on a whim, stop special interest lobbying, stop giving other countries our money, lower salaries of government jobs to equal private sector jobs, reduce benefits of all government employees including elected and appointed officials to those of the private sector and by all means everyone pay their fair share in taxes.  The government has created many “special interest programs” and gives tax breaks to all of them (ex. Land Use Programs.)  Special Interest tax breaks equals Government control at the expense of the tax payer. 

The Tea Party does not claim the rich do not pay their fair share Mr. Carter.  Try and get that straight in your mind.  The tea party is trying to get those rich people’s money back to America.  They are the people with the money and entrepreneurism to create jobs for America.  This, by the way, is the only way America will regain our job losses, self respect and moral fiber.  The liberals believe the government should and can keep paying for the jobless, homeless, sick or disabled, growing fatherless baby population and illegal aliens (I use the last two words before they are banned by our liberal government who finds it cruel to call people what they are.  If they would rather be a legal alien that would make all of America happier.  Wonder why our government doesn’t see it that way?)  I do not mention the recipient categories to belittle anyone for I myself have taken a handout at one point in my life.  However, during that time I also made a plan as to how I would get off the dole ASAP.  There used to be a time when accepting government help was an embarrassment and most would rather do without than to take their help. Today, many lazy, drugged out, baby making and illegal alien recipients make a business of getting government money to take care of themselves at the expense of the tax payer.  The programs are so numerous and so large the government couldn’t possibly monitor them (free cell phones to every family member is an example).  These recipients are the ones at the bottom end that don’t pay their fair share Mr. Carter.

 I will skip right over the middle class, salaried, hard working population for I see no reason to question what taxes they pay.  After all, they are the ones holding up and funding the welfare system, Medicaid, Medicare and Social Security.  Programs, they are entitled to Mr. Carter, since they paid for them for themselves and all of America.   Yes, they truly are entitlements for those who have worked for them and yet again, the government has bankrupted that, too.  The government would have us believe that everyone is entitled to benefits.  Mr. Obama tells the welfare recipients the government will pay them forever.  They believe this because many recipients are not intelligent enough to know, or bother to find out where the government gets its money (having never worked or paid taxes). I really don’t think they care as long as they don’t have to support or be responsible for themselves (I hope you draw from my previous statements who I am referring to.  If you are really trying to support yourself, you shouldn’t be upset by this statement).  Many recipients can’t see past their monthly government gifts to realize the trillions our country owes and understand they are the main problem.  But, of course, that is what our president wants, isn’t it?

There are now 50% welfare recipients and 50% working people in America.  The scales are about to tip as the jobs Mr. Obama falsely claims he has created for Americans are in actuality being created for Japan, Mexico, Brazil, Switzerland, China and many other places.  He has even given China our jobs to repair or replace our own American bridges at the expense of billions of dollars to the American economy and thousands of jobs for American citizens.  Our yearly taxes can no longer pay the interest on our government debt, much less pay towards the principle.  This is why Mr. Obama cannot offer a budget for approval.  He does not want America to realize his “gift giving” policies have put us over the edge.  I feel sure Mr. Obama will approve printing more money to hide his ineptitude.  Is the dollar still worth 50 cents or less?

If nothing else, Mr. Carter, I feel certain the T.E.A. Party is aware of what has created our economic downfall. I don’t think the “Occupiers” understand at all, considering most of them are the welfare recipients who are afraid their free ride may be over.  I also, don’t think only the wealthy are in the land use programs. 

While I want American jobs brought back from overseas, I also believe all American companies should pay their taxes.  That is a “scratch my back and I will scratch yours” deal. The companies make a profit, create jobs, pay salaries and Americans can create a life for themselves.  The American dream cannot be had without large companies funding it.  Did you get that, welfare recipients?  You will never own anything, be rich or be happy as long as you rely on the government! 

Now; “land use”.  I have many questions about the land use programs (especially since they are government funded and caused Essex County’s last tax increase.)  Mr. McGruder, you claim Forest Land Use created $18,000,000 for our county last year.  Show me how the $18,000,000 benefited me and where that money is now.  Prove to me how your tax savings helped me at all.  I’m perplexed by BOS claims of savings to the county’s people through land use, when all I see are continual tax increases.

I will leave this topic for next week Mr. Rose, Erin Kelly, Mr. Carter, Mr. Whitlow and the Board of Supervisors.   Surely, you would not deny the Tea Party their side of the story.  Until then….

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Just how unpopular is President Barack Obama in some parts of the country? Enough that a man in prison in Texas is getting 4 out of 10 votes in West Virginia's Democratic presidential primary.

The inmate, Keith Judd, is serving time at the Beaumont Federal Correctional Institution in Texas for making threats at the University of New Mexico in 1999. With 83 percent of precincts reporting, Obama was receiving 60 percent of the vote to Judd's 40 percent.

For some West Virginia Democrats, simply running against Obama is enough to get Judd votes.

"I voted against Obama," said Ronnie Brown, a 43-year-old electrician from Cross Lanes who called himself a conservative Democrat. "I don't like him. He didn't carry the state before and I'm not going to let him carry it again."

When asked which presidential candidate he voted for, Brown said, "That guy out of Texas."

Judd was able to get on the state ballot by paying a $2,500 fee and filing a form known as a notarized certification of announcement, said Jake Glance, a spokesman for the Secretary of State's office.

Attracting at least 15 percent of the vote would normally qualify a candidate for a delegate to the Democratic National Convention. But state Democratic Party Executive Director Derek Scarbro said no one has filed to be a delegate for Judd. The state party also believes that Judd has failed to file paperwork required of presidential candidates, but officials continue to research the matter, Scarbro said.

Voters in other conservative states showed their displeasure with Obama in Democratic primaries last March.

In Oklahoma, anti-abortion protestor Randall Terry got 18 percent of the primary vote. A lawyer from Tennessee, John Wolfe, pulled nearly 18,000 votes in the Louisiana primary. In Alabama, 18 percent of Democratic voters chose "uncommitted" in the primary rather than vote for Obama.
